Write a short paragraph describing who you are:'Pocket rocket full of sunshine and energy' - My name is Loreyn Serenity, I am 24 years old, Filipino born - Australian citizen. What makes you a powerwoman?I live by the virtues of acceptance, compassion, courage, empowerment, forgiveness, generosity, humility, kindness, patience, peace, sincerity, wisdom and wonder. In saying that, I try my absolute hardest to only become the best possible version of myself, in order to be a major positive influence and role model to empower the women of today. Through various personal experiences, the good and the bad, I've become the strongest I've ever been. I want to empower and inspire those around me on an international level through the attitude of being mentally tough, emotionally intelligent whilst being independent.
What is your career?I am an entrepreneur. I have the ability to see and understand a lot of things in various perspectives, with my interest in every aspect of life. I believe in absorbing all the good that life can give. I look past a lot of negativity by seeing the good in everything and turning that into something inspirational to ripple out to the rest of the world. I am highly motivated and determined to achieve all goals I set for myself, no matter the risks taken...
As soon as I graduated from high school, I flew across the world to the United Kingdom, where I worked as a teacher's assistant at a boarding school and cared for children from 6 months to 13 years of age. During that time, I had gained a lot of freedom and independence. I also embraced that time to learn more about myself and gain as much world wide knowledge as I could, through the interactions of people of various ages, cultures, religions and stereotypes. Through this experience, I have become an Ambassador for Lattitude Global Volunteering. Since 2012 to present day, I have been able to conduct and be part of the interview panel that takes part in the process of choosing students who have what it takes to be a part of the team, I have also played a part in careers expos in schools, liaising with senior high school students by inspiring them to see the world and what it has to offer; before they start 'settling down with life,' as well as publicly speaking to students and teachers, by sharing my story about my year abroad.
I have been a part of many volunteering programs such as; St Vincent De Paul's Society Assisting Refugee Kids (SPARK) as a tutor during after school hours; an associate of Amnesty International via writing letters and signing petetions to global leaders about issues that need high levels of attention; and Life Line Australia by participating in the Walk Through Shadows- raising suicide awareness, depression, anxiety and many other issues, I also have certificate of First Aid in Mental Health, in which I use the knowledge that I have learnt in the course (as well as my personal life) to help, support and listen to those who are struggling and need someone they can break their silence to.
I like to add humour and happiness in everything I do. I've worked in the entertainment industry; freelance writer, photographer, dancer, model, personal trainer, poker dealer, waitress and party host for both children/adults (no discrimination). Adding onto that, I am aspiring to be director and/or actress, as well a positive influential role model.

What is your favorite thing to do?For someone like me who just takes interest in too many activities, that's a hard question to answer. However, I enjoy warm weather; so being at a beach, whether secluded or full of a social scene, that would be the thing I enjoy the most. Especially sun-baking.
Where is your favorite place to be?In a peaceful state of mind
Do you consider yourself a party person or a home person, why?I had partied enough during the year I spent overseas in Europe. 'In for a good time, not a long time'
My job as an entertainer enables me to be 'the life OF the party,' and I enjoy that quite a lot.
However I can be a home person, as much as I spend my time entertaining and 'partying,' it lets me appreciate the state of being calm and alone- at home in my own comfort zone at peace. I like to divide my time equally in both ways of having bursts of social life as well as having personal down time.
Why did you enter the competition?I entered the competition for my own personal growth and development, whilst having the opportunity to share my journey on an international level, hoping to be an inspiration to others by empowerment.
Who is your hero and why?My family; my parents. Through every struggle that they have had in their life, they have always remained strong and determined to reach their successes. Having come from the Philippines, a low-income developing country, the struggle that it took both my parents to strive and work hard through they had lived there whilst raising me up until the age of 4, was what inspired me the most to look up to them as heroes. We had lived in a house of concrete dirt and dusty floors in a country that had an economy that wasn't top world standards; but in my eyes, everyone was always happy and grateful for everything that they had. We then migrated to Australia on the 26th October 1996, since then my parents had always taught me to work hard and earn everything I have, without having to rely on anyone. They are my heroes, and through their tough life experiences I have learnt to be my own hero for myself, fight my own battles as I don't need anyone saving me.
What color relates to your personality and why?RED - Provokes optimism and courage, igniting excitement and radiating warmth. It's a fiery colour, and with my ambitious, goal orientated personality; turning stubborn into a self-seeking challenge - all or nothing. However, although red can be seen as an aggressive, flaming colour; I release any negative emotions through my love of martial arts; love that fight. I fight for love and have a passion for life; the colour red also represents this. Although, my favourite colour is purple, that in which represents royalty.
What are you freakishly addicted to?Entertainment lifestyle - Costumes, dressing up, acting, learning new music, dancing (and incorporating martial arts moves into choreography), collaborating with different artists.
What is your greatest strength? The ability of disassociate myself mentally from negative-emotional situations.
Most scary animal or insect?I've always been taught to love and take care of animals, so they don't really scare me. If anything, animals are afraid of us- as human beings.
