We asked Isabelle to write a short paragraph describing who she is:

“As an international model, actress and host, you can currently find me on the Critic’s Choice Award winning show Face Off on the Syfy Channel as well as a host for AfterBuzz TV’s Law & Order: SVU after show.  As a hobby, I’m an eBay power-seller and I’m a dreamer who continues to convince herself that she can do anything in this world”

We asked Isabelle why she entered this competition:

“I haven’t done a pageant since 2007.  I’ve been wanting to but people around me would scoff at the idea of pageants or how only women of a certain age can compete.  I let their judgment affect my own judgment of myself.  The idea of others judging me held me back from what I really wanted to do.  But what I want to do is irrelevant to others and so that’s why I’m going for it! I;m doing this for a multitude of reasons:

1)I want to prove to others that it doesn’t matter what age, you can still compete.  Ageism is as old as itself and I want to send out the message that it’s never too late to still do what you want to do.  I’m going to put myself out there because I’m sure someone out there can relate and I want them to get that message.

2) I want to use this as a platform to kick off my early financial literacy programming for children

3) I love traveling to places I’ve never been to and meet new people i would’ve never been able to meet.

4) I want to become the next Miss Multiverse 2016!”

Isabelle’s Hobbies:

“I’m a power-seller on eBay and sell anything and everything online.  From my own old clothing, vintage items I’ve collected from thrift shops and coupons!  My friends know how obsessed I am with selling that they’ve given me their things to sell on consignment.  I get addicted to seeing how much I can sell certain things for.  For example, I once found an old 1992 Chuck E. Cheese paper flyer from my mom’s house that I was about to throw away.  It wasn’t anything super special and wasn’t even in good condition.  But I was curious to see if anyone would want it.  A bidding war for it broke out and I ended up selling it for $30!  Like they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”

Isabelle’s Talents:

“Haggling, negotiating and finding ways to save money.  I’ve gotten myself out of paying an $11,000 medical bill, I use apps to earn free gift cards and I will battle it out (nicely, of course) with customer service reps to get fees waived or discounts.  It’s such a rush for me to save money! LOL”

Isabelle’s Education:

“I have a BA in Public Relations & Advertising from Chapman University”

Isabelle’s Career:

“I am an actress, model, host and auto product specialist for Toyota.  I’m about to shoot my fourth season of Syfy’s Face Off which recently won the Critic’s Choice Award for Best Reality Competition.  You can also find me hosting the Law & Order: SVU after show on Maria Menounos’ network AfterBuzz TV.  In Vietnam, I was known as a soap opera actress”

We asked isabelle to tell us 5 things we’d be most surprised to learn about her:

1) I don’t drink, not even wine.  I haven’t drank in 5 years as a personal choice.

2) I used to be legally blind with my eyes being a 10 and a astigmatism of 2.5 in each eye.  But I got Lasik and my eyes have been perfect ever since!  Best thing I have ever done for myself.

3) I was mugged to knife-point.

4) I just bought a triplex as my first property as well as investment.

5) When i was about 5 or 6, I lived with my family in my dad’s auto repair shop.

We asked Isabelle what awards she won:

“Face of East West 2006, Miss Urban California USA 2007 (along with Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality), Planet Beach Cover Model 2015”.

We asked Isabelle what charities she is affiliated with:

“Aid to Children Without Parents (ACWP) is an organization that combats child and sex trafficking in Asia – specifically in Vietnam and Cambodia.  I started working with them in college when I was the president of the Asian Pacific Student Association.  I founded and produced a hip hop and fashion showcase where we raised over $25,000 in 2 years and all proceeds went to ACWP. Because trafficking is prevalent in these lower social economic countries, the organization assists families in multiple ways such as giving an ox to each child to take care of (it’s a way to financially aid them in farming) or building schools to keep kids on track with their education”
